SEAL'S SEDUCTION Available now!

BLURB

A Navy SEAL puts his training to the test to rescue a sexy news reporter from a hostage situation

Home on emergency leave, Navy SEAL Dustin "Dustman" Ford didn't expect  to run into his high school sweetheart, local news reporter Jenna Turner, figuring she'd have shaken off the dust of their hometown a long time ago. A woman as addicted to action and adventure as he was, he thought she'd have moved on. But she was still there, and every bit as distracting as she'd been when they were teens.

Jenna Turner never got over Dustin, but moved on with her life, establishing herself as a news reporter for the local station. In an effort to take on more than reporting social events and weddings, with the help of a cousin and an inside connection on the police force, she chases the hotter news items, determined to make her break into the national news scene.

Now that his father is on the mend, Dustin tests the heat with his old flame and finds it's sizzling. When Jenna is taken hostage in a religious compound, Dustin and his brothers stage a rescue operation to bring her and others out alive.

EXCERPT

Jenna stepped out of her SUV, climbed the steps to her apartment and let herself in, not really looking forward to a lonely night eating leftover pizza. She remembered the eggplants in her purse and snorted. She didn’t have ingredients to make stuffed eggplant. Tomorrow, she’d invite Toby over and cook for him. The two of them ate entirely too many meals from fast-food restaurants on the run between news events.

Setting her purse on the counter in the kitchen, Jenna cocked her head at the sound of running water. She turned toward the wall connecting her apartment to the next. But no, the water sound was coming from the other side of her bedroom door, which was closed.

The only time she closed her bedroom door was when her mother dropped by unexpectedly and she hadn’t made her bed.

Her pulse quickened, and she edged toward her bedroom. Her first thought was that an intruder had entered her home. She quickly nixed that conclusion. What intruder would take the time to shower?
The next thought sent butterflies fluttering through her belly. Had one of the Ford men taken her up on her offer to stay the night? If so, which one?

Please let it be Dustin.

Her heart lodged firmly in her throat, Jenna twisted the doorknob and entered the darkened bedroom. A light shined beneath the door of the bathroom. The water shut off.

Sucking her bottom lip between her teeth, Jenna closed the distance between her and the bathroom door, raising her hand to knock. She hesitated. What if it wasn’t Dustin? What if Adam or Houston had accepted her offer? They were equally handsome men, but neither of the two were the one Jenna hadn’t forgotten over the past ten years.

With her hand poised to knock, she froze. Maybe she shouldn’t appear too eager. Men didn’t like to be chased. They liked to do the chasing. Before she could turn and run back into the living room, the door opened and Dustin’s broad shoulders filled the gap.

The air seized in Jenna’s lungs, and she stood with her hand still raised, her fist clenched to rap on the door.

Dustin’s lips quirked upward on the corners. “I hope you don’t mind. I waited for an hour, but couldn’t stand it any longer. I hadn’t had a shower since I left Virginia and, since there wasn’t soap or shampoo in the guest shower, I used yours.”

Her gaze drifted downward over his bare chest and lower still to the towel he had loosely wrapped, riding low on his hips. One yank and it would fall, exposing him.

Jenna clenched her fingers tightly to keep from reaching out. Hell, she wasn’t a girl playing silly games with a boy. She was a grown woman with raging physical needs, and Dustin was just the man to satisfy her every desire.

He’d been pretty amazing as a teen, making love to her as though he worshiped her. Everywhere he’d touched her with his fingers or lips had sizzled. Her memories were so clear, she could almost feel the warmth of his hand sliding down her back, cupping her naked ass and lifting her onto the tailgate of his pickup as he stepped between her legs and made sweet love to her.

Focus, Turner, she reminded herself. Just because Dustin wore only a towel around his waist, didn’t mean he was coming on to her. He’d taken a shower because he wanted to feel clean after traveling halfway around the world.

As her gaze rested on the towel around his waist, it tented.

Holy hell, he wasn’t immune to her after all.

VERSIONS by Megan Mitcham

Versions - Blacklist Novella 1

The truth doesn't have versions. Or does it?

Rin Lee covered her childhood in dirt and danced on its grave. Only she pranced a little too hard and spent her young-adult life tiptoeing the straight and narrow. Things finally paid off in the form of a job with the Department of Defense, a home of her own, and a boyfriend muscled enough he put Zach Efron to shame. Until one text reveals a hideous truth that splinters her world.

Suddenly she can’t trust Nate or their surrogate family of friends. Can she possibly trust Luck—the man who mirrors her soul, scares her beyond the neat confines she’s erected around herself, and makes her scrutinize the versions she’s always been too angry to see?

Luck turned to the streets out of necessity, while Rin slapped on blinders and ignored those willing to help her. A stupid move for a sultry young woman. But the skills she learned in the rough and tumble underbelly of DC will serve his latest assignment well. Because people like them have the instinct to survive.

Excerpt from SEAL's Honor by Elle James

His chest tightened and before long, he had a hard time regulating his breathing. Finally, he slowed, turned and ran the opposite direction. He'd jog in the heat of the day rather than watch Ringer woo his girl. Instead, he ran sprints near the volleyball nets until he couldn't stand it a moment longer. After a while, he walked back toward his quarters, the long way. The path that would take him back by Delaney's tent. When he realized what he was doing, he almost turned around and headed back for more sprints.
Until he saw Delaney step out of the shower tent wearing clean shorts, a T-shirt and carrying her robe, towel and toiletries in hand. That robe was the clincher.
Tuck's groin tightened on sight at how beautiful she'd been wearing it last night in the moonlight. And how naked, soft, warm and wet she'd been beneath.
He sped up, determined to catch her. What he'd say when he did, he didn't know. Tuck only knew he had to say something. This deal with Ringer was eating at him and somehow it had to stop.
Before he reached her, Ringer jumped out from another path, carrying a giant  teddy bear with a big red bow tied around its neck.
Delaney ground to a halt and laughed.
Tuck's gut knotted at the sound. Even her laugh was sexy. Damn.
She accepted the teddy bear, hugging it close and burying her nose in the soft fake fur.
Where in hell had Ringer gotten a teddy bear in the desert?
Wherever he'd acquired it, Delaney was enjoying it more than Tuck liked. She leaned around the bear in her arms her lips puckered, aiming for Ringer's cheek.
Ringer turned at the last second and her kiss meant for his cheek landed square on his lips. The asshole grinned, captured Delaney's cheeks between his palms and kissed her again. "I knew you'd taste that sweet. And that's just the beginning."
Tuck's fists balled and he lunged forward. Before he'd taken two steps, Delaney was shaking her head. "Cory, I don't—"
Ringer pressed a finger to her lips. "Don't decide anything. I'm not done yet. Be watching."
Ringer left before Delaney could complete her sentence.
Damn. Surely she'd been about to tell him to take a hike. After kissing her like that, she should have slapped him.
Unless...
Tuck stopped still in his tracks. Was it possible she could fall for Ringer?
After last night?
Delaney stared down at the bear. "I can't take you to the shower." She turned toward her tent, her gaze finding Tuck standing like a lunk in the middle of the path.
Her smile immediately turned downward on the corners. She marched toward the tent, passing him with barely a glance. "What are you doing here, Tuck?"
"You kissed him."
"So?" She stopped in the doorway.
"Why did you let him kiss you again?"
"Why does it matter to you?" She hugged the bear closer, like a shield between her and him.
Tuck wanted to rip the damned bear from her arms and tear it to shreds. "You don't love him."
"I could learn to love him. At least he cares enough about me to share his feelings."
"Is that what you want?" He gripped her arms, the fuzz of the bear's fake fur burning against his skin. "You want me to share my feelings? I'll share. I'm pissed as hell."
"I don't see why?"
"You know damn well why."
"I know that you aren't into commitment. I know from your track record that you've pushed away every women you've ever let closer than a one night stand. "
"I didn't care about them."
"And you care about me?"
"Yes."
"Enough to say three simple words?"
"What words?"
"Oh, forget it. We have nothing left to say. I'm done." She ducked into her tent and closed the door behind her.
"We're not done until I say we're done," Tuck practically shouted, making the group of soldiers in uniform passing by at that moment turn and stare. "What are you looking at?"
"Man, you need to turn down the volume. Some people are still asleep," a staff sergeant said.
Tuck wanted to tell the staff sergeant to shove it, but thought better of it. He outranked him and therefore had to set the example. And he wasn't doing a good job of it. Which made him even madder.

Mystery Men of Ignite!

Entangled Suspense has a new name – Ignite. The line is filled with hot, thrillers and suspense stories that are designed to keep you on the edge-of-your-seats. The men are hot, the women are strong, sexy and equally hot and there will be love!

Ignite authors with current releases are sponsoring an event this Thursday night, August 8, from 7-9 EDT on Facebook celebrating the newly renamed line at Entangled.

The event is called The Mystery Men of Ignite – Revealed!

Eight Ignite authors have been posting clues all week on our websites and blogs, and Thursday night, all will be revealed. You can win a $100 Amazon gift card and other prizes. Details are here. At that time we will reveal who inspired our heroes. My hero's clue is his lips. I can imagine this hero whispering sweet nothings into my ear. Granted his brogue would melt me into a puddle of goo. He has a legal degree but gave up law for film. He can be cute and cuddly or ripped with an incredibly sexy bod, when the role calls for it. Tough but gentle, like Ed Marceaux in DEJA VOODOO. And he'd fit right in with the Boyette family of mistfits. DEJA VOODOO is available now for mystery and suspense with a bit of CAJUN MAGIC thrown in for fun.

Enjoy the Mystery Men game and join us tonight for the big reveal!

Add a Voodoo spell gone wrong, and voila! madness—and love—ensues.

 Excerpt

“Sport!” yet another feminine entreaty split his eardrums.
The yelling voices preceded the appearance of two women from the end of the street. One was wearing skin-tight biking shorts and a sports bra, and had her fiery red hair caught up in a ponytail. The other…

Holy hell.

His jaw dropped. The collision must have hit him harder than he’d thought. Suddenly, he couldn’t breathe and was seeing things. Gorgeous things.

Her hair was as black as the brand-new Mustang convertible parked in the garage at his apartment building. Her eyes were bright blue, and she had smooth, creamy skin that reminded him of a cup of pale, milky mocha. And boy was there a lot of skin showing. She wore a frothy blue baby-doll nightie. The gown did
nothing to cover the lacy black string-bikini panties peeking out with every step as she raced down the street barefoot. And oh, those luscious breasts bobbed unfettered beneath the filmy fabric.
The two jogging beauties slid to a stop in front of him. Apparently, they were real, not just a figment of his imagination.

The redhead spoke first. “Did you see a do—” She didn’t get the chance to finish her sentence when the black-haired beauty jammed her elbow into her gut.

“Man. Did you see a man run by?” demanded the woman in the blue baby-doll nightie.

Interesting. Even without his usual five-mile jog and gallon of coffee, his senses were now on full alert. Standing this close to that short, sheer blue gown was doing crazy things to his gray matter and other parts of his body.

The women looked flustered. But then, one of them had a reason. Hell, she was running around in an out t that couldn’t be licensed for public consumption in the free world. He loved seeing her worry her full, ruby mouth, and made it a point to worry it more.

“Can you describe this man?” he stalled.

The dark one squirmed. Wow, she even squirmed beautifully.

If he wasn’t careful, he’d be making a tent of his jogging shorts.

The redhead jumped into the silence. “He has reddish-brown hair, brown eyes, and a body to die for.” She paused and added, “Oh, and did I mention he was naked?”

Ed let an eyebrow inch upward. “Naked?” he asked the darkhaired one. “Any particular reason a man is running around the town naked?”

The black-haired beauty’s eyes ashed, but she didn’t answer.

“We scared him,” the redhead supplied.

Since she’d asked him if he’d seen a man run by, the dark one hadn’t uttered a word.

He considered it a challenge. “Do you always run around Bayou Miste in your…black string-bikini underwear?” He trailed his gaze down her front to the dark shadow of her underwear, barely visible beneath the filmy skirt of her nightgown.

A blush started in the vicinity of her cleavage and traveled up her neck to her cheeks. Score!

“Come on, Calliope, this man doesn’t know anything.” The dark-haired one grabbed the redhead’s arm and tried to drag her away.

“But Alex, I’m enjoying the show.” The redhead smiled a wicked smile and eyed the front of his shorts.

Damn. He’d been so intent on making Miss Naughty Nightie squirm, he’d forgotten about his own arousing reaction to her delights.

She glanced down, color brightening even more in her cheeks. But her mouth curved at the ends. “I take it by show, you mean comedy?” A thin, dark brow winged upward. “I’ve had my laugh. Ha, ha. Now, come on, Calliope. We have to catch Sport.”

His ego agging, Ed couldn’t help tossing a parting shot. “What, is this some kind of kinky game you’re playing?”

“And if it is, did you want to be invited?” the one called Calliope asked, her grin widening.

“Maybe.” He answered the redhead, his gaze fixed on Alex.

“Too bad.” Blue nightie actually tsked her tongue. “We’re more selective of our playthings.” With a dismissive sweep of her gaze from his head to his feet, she put him rmly in his place.

Then she was racing down the street, her rm buttocks even more interesting in the black lace bikini.

Ed turned to jog after her. He had to know who she was. More important, he wanted to get to know those lace panties more intimately. After two steps, he had to pause and adjust. Nope, he wasn’t jogging in the next ve minutes. Not in his…uh…condition.
Later. In a town as small as Bayou Miste, he’d easily find her.

A kidnapping offers an FBI agent a second chance at redemption in Elle James's Covert Cowboys, Inc. miniseries.
After witnessing the murder of his partner, former FBI agent Zach Adams suffers the weight of his own guilt. An unexpected assignment hunting down the members of the Texas gang responsible—who have kidnapped a local woman—could offer long-awaited revenge.

Zach understands the danger of tracking the cartel, but it's his desire for the sister of the missing person that he fails to anticipate. Determined to find her twin, Jacie Kosart is as strong-willed as she is alluring. But when Zach's ruthless search for the kidnappers lands Jacie in the crosshairs of deadly enemies, Zach realizes he'll risk everything to keep her alive…even if it means confronting the demons of his own past.

EXCERPT

“Yeah, but not only are they putting themselves and the horses in danger, they’re putting the two of us at risk as well.” Jacie hesitated. “Come to think of it, maybe we should head back while there’s still enough light to climb the trail out of the canyon.”
Tracie sighed. “I was hoping you’d say that. I don’t want you to get hurt out here.”
“Me? I was more concerned about you. You haven’t been in saddle much since you joined the FBI.”
“You’re right, of course.” She smiled at Jacie. “Let’s get out of here.”
“Agreed. Let them be stupid. We don’t have to be.” Jacie turned her horse back the way they’d come and had taken the lead when the sharp report of gunfire echoed off the canyon walls.
“What the hell?” Jacie’s horse spun beneath her and it was all she could do to keep her balance.
Aramis reared. Tracie planted her feet hard in the stirrups and leaned forward, holding on until the gelding dropped to all four hooves.
More gunfire ensued followed by the pounding of hooves, the sound growing louder as it neared them.
Tracie yelled, “Go, Jacie. Get out of the canyon!”
Jacie didn’t hesitate, nor did her horse. She dug her heals into D’Artagnan’s flanks, sending him flying along the trail. She headed back the way they’d come, her horse skimming over the rocky ground, his head stretched forward, nostrils flared.
Before they’d gone a hundred yards, Rocky, the gelding Mr. Jones had been riding, raced past them, eyes wide, sweat lathered on both sides, sporting an empty saddle, no Mr. Jones. Rocky hit the trailhead leading out of the canyon, scrambling up the slope.
Jacie dared to glance over her shoulder.
Mr. Smith emerged from the fork in the canyon trail, yelling at Ginger, kicking her hard. Both leaned forward, racing for their lives.
